MaineGeneral Rehabilitation & Long Term Care at Gray Birch strives to provide the most comprehensive skilled nursing and rehabilitation services, long-term care and assisted living options to the southern Kennebec Valley community.

The Birches is a skilled nursing and rehabilitation unit where our caring team of nurses and therapists are committed to offering patients the excellent care they need to return home as soon as possible. We are dedicated to making every patients stay a comfortable and successful one, while assisting them to regain independence in a supportive, welcoming environment.

Responsibilities:

Provides quality personal care to residents under direct supervision of a licensed nurse, within the scope of established CNA practice.

Contributes to and supports a person centered, individualized care environment with emphasis on building meaningful relationships.

Provides assistance to residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, eating, toileting and transportation, while demonstrating sensitivity to resident comfort and privacy.

Performs restorative and rehabilitative procedures as directed within the scope of CNA practice.

Ensures residents' rights are respected and maintained at all times Responds in a timely manner to resident and family request for assistance.

The ideal candidate will have:

An active CNA certificate on the State of Maine CNA Registry

Certification from accredited Medication Technician Program (CMT) required

High school diploma or general education diploma (GED) preferred

12 hours of relevant continuing education required annually to maintain CNA registration
