MISSION: Home health service is that component of comprehensive health care whereby services are provided to individuals and families in their places of residence for the purpose of promoting, maintaining or restoring health or minimizing the effect of illness and disability.
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: To provide clinical management by supervising and guiding staff in the provision of health services in the home and community. Responsible for the oversight of personnel and all patient care services provided in the intermittent program whether directly or under arrangement.
EDUCATION: Graduate of an NLN accredited professional school of nursing, BSN degree in nursing preferred.
EXPERIENCE: A minimum of 3 - 4 years of progressively responsible experience in acute care nursing with one or more in a leadership position required. Experience in a Home Health setting preferred.
LICENSURE AND CERTIFICATION: Current RN licensure in the State of Maine. ANA certification in Home Health, Community Health nursing, Gerontology, or Med/Surg Nursing encouraged. Current CPR certification (must be Healthcare Provider). Oasis certification within 2 years of hire.
