PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION: Prepares & processes Accounts Payable invoices for appropriate approval and payment by check or credit card. Ensures compliance with budget allocations and works with Program Managers to address any questions or concerns. Assists in the preparation of various reports and analysis of financial data communication discrepancies to Accounting Manager.
EDUCATION: Associate or Baccalaureate Degree in Business Administration preferably with major in Accounting or Finance
EXPERIENCE: 3 6 years of accounting experience, preferably in health care.
SKILLS: Demonstrated proficiency in Word, Excel, GL systems, Outlook, File transfer process, Payroll systems such as ADP. Strong bookkeeping and accounting skills including accruals, reconciliation, journal entries, and other financial transactions. Ability to complete multiple projects and assignments without error and with high attention to accuracy and detail. Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization. Ability to organize, file and maintain accurate records. Advanced sense of responsibility. Ability to function well in deadline oriented environment. Ability to work independently.
